Modding Tutorial: 3D Item Models Using Techne

A couple of you guys have asked, so here it is.

      That can be a little bit confusing, Videos always get to explain it better since you get to look at what is being done at the same time.

        I followed it exactly and when I export my mod with the reobf and all, and put my “assets” folder into the compression, the model has black and pink textures ;(
        Can you help?

          This means that your texture isn’t loading; If your assets folder is this Mymod/assets/your.png
          And the code is like: Mymod/assets/items/your.png
          It aint working because the path of where your texture is needs to be the path in the code.

    can you explain how to make the player hold the model like you have done with yours, as in its being held like a bow at all times. thanks

    Hey will this ever be updated to 1.5.1? The binding of textures doesnt work :/

    I got error on fml 1.7.10
    error is in this field
    ForgeHooksClient.bindTexture(“/itemsmod/textures/tools/ObsidianPickaxe.png”, 0);

    error is on bindTexture

      private static final ResourceLocation IL = new ResourceLocation(“Your texture path”);
