Winner (Individual) of the third 96 hour modding marathon, ModJam.
- Loosely based off the Sync Webseries by CorridorDigital on YouTube.
- Despite being based off Sync, the mod idea came from Character Switching in GTA V.

Usage
- This mod provides clones, or as we like to call it, “shells”. These shells are basically a new individual, with their own inventory, experience level, and even gamemode.
- However, what they lack, is a mind to control them. That’s where the player comes in. Each shell is biometrically tied to the player who’s sample is used to create it, and will allow the player to “sync” their mind to the other shell, essentially creating multiple player instances.
- Place a shell constructor down and right click it to provide a sample (warning, this hurts!). The shell constructor cannot work without power, so put a treadmill down next to it and lure a Pig or a Wolf to the center of the treadmill to generate Piggawatts. A lead will help out out with this (you will get it back). The shell constructor will begin building a shell.
- Once the shell is constructed, you need to place down a shell storage unit and supply redstone power to it. The indicator will switch to green and you can walk into the storage unit to activate it. You will see a radial menu pop up with the list of available shells and their positions. Select the shell in the constructor (labelled with the “Done” indicator) and watch as you are synced into the new shell.
- Shell syncing works cross dimensional too! Get to the nether and back through a shell! However, you cannot enter or leave shells in The End due to…. technical difficulties.
- By default, shells provide an “extra life” to the player. When the shell you are using dies, you will immediately resync to the nearest shell available. You can mark a preference shell by right clicking a storage unit with a bed, labelling it as a home storage unit. You can also name storage units with a name tag. This “extra life” feature works in Hardcore mode, so if you have an active backup shell you will not be forced to abandon a hardcore world, but instead resync to another shell.

i think, that you put in to little RAM for minecraft to run, try typin’ this as the JDV argument -Xmx1G
also not : forge is a new minecraft client, it installs 2 other necessary mods to work with minecraft so that is why you have 4 mods.

it says that u have 4 mods loaded, default forge 9.11.1.953 should have 4 mods, try taking a look in the mod folder that u placed in maybe…?
it should load 4 mods bc 1 is library you get what allow modders to actualy code for mc forge itself mod loader

Those mods with windows 32 bit do not work with 32 bit java, it equals error code as follows:

You can’t just “Update your operating system”. it requires you to completely wipe EVERYTHING off your main hard-drive (of course you can back it up) and purchase a Windows 7 64 bit Install disk or something

get the 1.6X if your useing 1.6 (that it says in the report) or make sure you have the recmmended version of forge for 1.6.4 or the latest one (probly use the latest one) but if that doesent work its probly the mod thats bug but redownload it coes my one works fine 🙂 hope that helped you
first Tobster you need to copy *ALL*of the tekst and you dont have placed the sync in the mods folder but in the jar.and maybe you are using sync for 1.5 or 1.7.2

try add ram but first check available ram and give take 2-4 CPU Stuff + 0.25-2 for internet + 0-2 for GPU or graphics card stuff and 1-2 extra space and 1+ Minecraft ram in GB remember Minecraft likes to have 1024MB not 1GB (even though they are the same amount they are equal to 1073741824 Bytes

Hey iChun there is something I noticed with the Sync mod when you turn off the redstone power to the shell storage it deletes the clone, is anybody else having this problem or am I the first to notice?
Yea I found this out too ;p the hard way. I was on my survival world and after waiting for the body thing to finish building its self and then like 3 seconds when it finsished a creeper came out of no where and blown up the redstone torch that was powering the cell soo…. yea your not the first to notice ;p
hey id like to know how the sync mod works with chunkloading because im a staff on a server with chunkloading donor restricted and i have heard Sync can chunkload. if so can i please know how this works (example: it could chunkload for a few seconds while switching clones or permanent chunkloading)

i found a bug: if you break the “lower” part of treadmill it drops shell constructor
You should leave bug reports but this mod came out today and it was done in 96 hours it used to kill you when you synced so be happy it doesnt do that anymore

I guess you have to enable hard mode in the config like for the portal gun hard mode
make so inf you place a hopper under a Shell Storage whit a shell in it the hopper wil take all the items the shell has in the inventory

I like the concept, but with the default hopper recipe, that would make the mod even more OP. Maybe find some excuse to make a harder recipe.

I know that being a modjam mod, you had to create your own ‘power generation’ thus, piggawatts, which you may choose to keep.. but how about a config option with some later versions for IC2, UE, TE, BC, etc power instead?

Anyway if you have any type of special inventory like tinkers construct packs, they transfer between clones rather than staying with their host body..

Tinkerers extra inventory should stay with you because you are not switching characters your just switching souls and inventory

Seconding this. I’d love to be able to power it with one of the various technology mods; aside from convenience, it would fit stylistically as well. I will admit, though, to being unreasonably amused by the word ‘piggawatt’. 😀
I was thinking of this very thing when I saw your comment. I second this opinion. Also, if they do this, you could have a whole bunch of wires connecting to the constructor.

Easy, just place an ender chest next to your shell storage 😉
I had a player inform that this didn’t work. That it acted as though the shell was a completely different player.
He meant that you keep an ender chest next to each one, then before you go into it you dump your inventory, switch shell, then retrieve your stuff from the enderchest at the other place.
We’re using MCPC+. This could be the cause of our problemos
Vanilla ender chests won’t work for that reason, but if you have the Ender Storage mod, those will work. If you have any mods that allow teleporting items (or nether portals and chunk loaders), you could also set up a system for sending items to your next shell.
Its possible to auto take items of you before you go in then again when you get out another using computer craft 🙂

Just got the mod for the small pack of mods just my friend and i are playing, nothing that is going to be published. But it is amazing so far. We will keep one underground and one about so we can go mining very easily, it is quite awesome. It kind of stinks that they all have individual inventories. Like if there was a config option where they don’t so you can turn on Keep Inventory. Because of this i lost a lot of good stuff that was in my inventory. 🙁 All in all AMAZING MOD!!!! Should definitely win Modjam3

Have you seen any of the episodes involving ‘the flesh’. It was used to create a clone of Martha to fool the Doctor (didn’t work, of course). Alright. So I discovered an…interesting, bug.
When you’re playing with this mod on Multiplayer Hardcore, and you die as a shell, when you’re put back into your normal body, your camera shakes violently, and your inventory is full of cobblestone.
This may sound ridiculous and bullshit, but it happens, and simply re-logging fixes the camera, but your inventory is still full of cobblestone.
Otherwise, it’s a great mod as always!
This should be IC2 compatible! You could use IC2 power instead of pigs and wolfs..

I just had a weird little idea, how about adding a hardmode for the treadmill, needing to be ran by a zombie or a villager? The zombie/villager would be on the treadmill, and the zombie would need a villager in some sort of space 2-3 blocks in front of the treadmill, probably fenced in, because the zombie would want to chase the villager. The villager in the treadmill would need a zombie 2-3 blocks behind the treadmill as it would want to run away from the zombie. An upgrade to the regular pig on the treadmill could be it needs a carrot in an item frame in front of the treadmill.

hi i would like to give you some ideas for future ideas hope you read these sort of things
1. it would be awesome if you made a system where you could make monster shells like zombies creepers skeletons and stuff then you could walk amongst undead and use their abilities
2. you could make for servers a thing where peaple could steal dna from other players and make copies they could use and troll
3.you should make a (meybe pretty expensive material costing) device that would make you able to change into the other shells while not having to go to a shell storage unit.
I think I know an explanation for why you have to go into a shell storage unit. Think of it like this the shell storage unit is a life support unit. Now what this mod does is it transfers the mind and soul of your character into a shell, However while you don’t have to think about doing the functions that keep your body alive your mind does it at a level where you aren’t aware. now in real life if you took your mind and soul out of your body and put it into another body your body would die without life support because unless you were switching minds with someone else your body that you left would have no mind to run the functions to keep it alive which is pretty much my reasoning as to why the mod author made you go into a shell storage unit.
For #1, use iChun’s Morph Mod. For # 2, also use the Morph Mod, just kill the player you want to turn into.

That’s a normal Minecraft function, when you go too far away from a chunk where animals are, they despawn.
Friendly mobs aren’t supposed to despawn, only hostile ones. Otherwise vanilla farming wouldn’t work.
You have to keep animals in at most a 20×20 area for them not to despawn.
probably the chunk unloading, if it’s wolves, tame them first

Disregard that last comment, I have figured it out. A suggestion, you should be able to name each shell storage unit, so you don’t get confused in the gui which shell is in which storage unit.
Right click the storage unit with a name tag. This does not work on constructors though.

Found a bad mod interaction… if you have items with the Soulbound enchantment (Ars Magica 2), when you “die” and load into your shell the soul bounded items are gone. All other items are on the ground where you die.
Without a waiting shell the soulbounded items stay with you on death, with sync the soulbounded items vanish.

honestly, if you have to get a nether star for hardmode, its pretty pointless as you’ll either have died already or gotten a full OP diamond set by the time the wither has been killed 3 times. you should make it like, 9 enderpearls or something in hardmode.

Ender chests ARE glitched while using the mod. Meaning you cannot put items in a chest, go to your clone, and take items out. It will duplicate items, though, if you put items in the box, switch to a non used clone, then access the box. The items will be in it, but any changes will not affect the other you. Items dropped in front of a full container will get erased if you switch to that one. Then also the clones save the game mode you were in when you made them.

You need to add compatibility for your Morph mod. I had them installed together and when I placed the constructor the game crashed. Those mods could go together really well if well thought out.

I think you can, but it may be bugged as it sometimes doesn’t show the one on the moon (or mars) as I’ve tried and it really sucks.

I wonder what happens though with lets say your ‘main’ character has mod info such as ars magica 2 spells learned and such which clones do not and the main die? how do we get that ars magica 2 info back? since we can’t really ‘respawn’ with main char?
its kinda like with the morph mod. that knowledge is shared. I have both installed and it works fine. tested and all. I think its because that ars, doesn’t know its a different “entity” 🙂

Forgive me if this sounds stupid, but I’d like to know if it’s possible to use your Sync Mod with the CloneCraft mod and your Morph Mod.
Using CloneCraft to Clone other Minecrafters, Morph Mod to become the Minecrafter Clone, and Sync Mod to create a “Shell” of the Minecrafter Clone(That you transformed into).
I also realized if it’s also possible to use the Morph Mod to become a Creeper, then use the Sync Mod to make a “Explosive Shell” Creeper Clone.
If that’s not possible, I apologize for asking a stupid question.
This doesn’t work with Morph. If you try to go in a shell storage while morphed, it says that you can’t do it.

Anyone else notice this mod is a reference to a web series called “Sync” Directed by corridor digital, it’s about a guy with multiple bodies, or “shells” as they are a called in the series, and he can transport his mind to different ones, only controlling one at a time.
I hoped this could replace the Gravestones mod as an inventory protection when you die.

This most likely wont be seen but awesome mod dude. only thing I would add would be an ability to name clones. so when u step in the storage you can designate who’s who. like you have a clone for specific task (ie: farmer, miner, woodsman, ect.) but instead of keeping track of what cords which ones at in the gui you can either label the clones or the storage its in. so u dont have to either switch around or keep track of the cords. 😀 thanks

1. add tech of some sort that you can attach to the constructor like a upgrade and depending on the upgrade it would give the clone infinite ability’s like speed boost or jump boost and really expensive ones like fire and lava resistance plus depending on the upgrade it cost more power like a lot more
and2. let players us it with morph say i killed my friend and got his morph make it so i can connect to his other clones and what not that all

This is a pretty awesome-looking mod, and it is well-made.
But, sadly, it is not very useful, due to the lack of sharing an inventory, much less an ender inventory.
It seems that it will only work for someone, in non-hardcore mode, if they are fine with continuing after a death with no inventory; or if they play multiple adventures at the same time, in the same world.

Since this got the idea from it, it would be amazing if someone made a GTA 5 map using this for characters (To do this, it would be necessary for something like a add-on to be made where you can switch characters like with the morph mod) and using Flans for vehicles and guns.

shell constructors are actually cheaper than storage, so not really a “major” glitch, but still a glitch (the treadmil one is actually major, especially when set to hardmode)

I have a suggestion that I think would add to this mod. It would be neat if you could implement compatibility with the TrailMix mod into Sync. What I mean by this is that you could feed a pig on a treadmill some trail mix, and it would increase the output of Pg/t (Piggawatts per tick). Just thought I’d post this for you.

keepinventory doesn’t work right with shells, the other shell retained the inventory, but it was deleted, along with the items

I have a weird bug, I added the Sync mod to my server and whenever I try to place one of the blocks of the mod, first they become “invisible”, I can see there’s still a part of the object placed but it’s invisible, it only happens in multiplayer, did anyone have the same problem and if someone can help, how can I fix this please ?
Just asking but why did ichun make shells not work in The End? I can tell it has to do with Enderman.
Balance, you can’t leave the end until the enderdragon is dead by any means other than death, and iChun wants to keep it that way (yes, I know Mystcraft exists) but you can make it work in the end with a config change

i think you shoud have an item that makes you switch clones without having to enter a shell storage,just like in the web series, also make clones carriable and placeble so you can switch to wherever you want without having to build a shell constructor there
When shifting shells my levels from ars magica dissapears, i think they are stored per entety instead off per player name. i have reported it to the ars magica side but is it anything s\thau can be dont from syncs side to fix it?

you will have to create another shell, go to that shell and switch to it and destroy the god shell (the unkillable one) this fixed it for me

Found another bug: when looking on a shell storage or another block from this mod and you are morphed you will not be diplayed as the creartures you are morphed into but as the player.
This is an awesome mod, but if i may recomend something, anything that is not lost upon death should be shared between clones. For example, I have noticed if you die and have a shell availible to respawn, you will loose all of your ars magica expirience. Kinda turns me off the mod.

Ars Magica Oculus unlocks don’t persist across shells (may or may not be a bug, but as your mind is what “unlocks” ars stuff, and your mind persists across shells, I’m assuming bug)
I’m building a lab or sorts for friends, and I wanted to have a bunch of the shells along a wall, in their storage units of course. The problem I’m having though is that the wheel that you pick shells from is getting cramped. I personally think there should be a way to remove shells from the well of choice, say, put a specalized nametag on the storage container(s) that removes it from your network, but leaves your shell in it for display?
I’ve actually found a way to do this. Once a shell is in a storage unit, if you remove the redstone signal, the shell remains alive, but becomes inactive, thus removing it from the wheel.

I have a question. When you place down a shell storage next to a constructor, do you have to leave the constructor down after you sync with the storage?

I have gotten this glitch as well, relloging fixes it for a while, but not more then 5 minutes.
Update, this is not the only bug im getting now,
according to the update notes I should no longer occasionally be immortal after syncing, well I suppose thats true, it now happens all the time after every sync requiring a relog to fix.
relogging however also creates bugs (mostly making shells under construction non selectable untill I destroy en replace the constructor.
It seems unlikely too me that all this is caused by this update so if anyone knows any other possible causes please let me know.

Many have reported bugs, but here is everything I’ve noticed anyway:
Switching dimensions or quitting the world will sometimes cause shells to become unusable (no shell storage machine will detect it).
Switching shells makes the player invulnerable and unable to pick up items. This bug remains until you exit and re-enter the world.
Switching shells and dying doesn’t always teleport you into another shell, sometimes it just kills you and respawns you at the spawnpoint (or worse, in hardcore, you have to delete your world).
Inter-dimensional shell switching doesn’t always work too well.
Furthering your last point, It seems that though the nether is mostly fine, custom dimensions are very susceptible to not working well.
Whenever I stop my server the next time I start it back up I can’t access my other shells.

1. Forge may be missing essential features for the mod to work
2. It’s unlikely anyone would use it

Amazing idea! There are a couple little tweaks I would ask for.
1. Harder crafting recipe
2. steal DNA from others/mobs (less important)
3. Compatibility with IC2 (Would not use it with the treadmills thing)
4. ALso, after compat with IC2 it would be cool if there was an option to require some amount of constant power or the shell starts to die/take damage. Like a body in storage.

The only thing I think would make this better, is if you had to store your original body in order to take control of one of the clones. If the clone dies, you return to either your original, or a clone, but if your original dies, you die. So someone on multiplayer could break into your lab, kill your sleeping real body, and you just randomly die in the nether. Optional, of course.
I’ve thought about this as well, but I think the whole spirit of the mod is that all versions are equally a part of the player. The player needs actively to make an effort to remember which one is the original.
Alternatively, one might plan to make the clone copies, and then play until I die and get resynced, but that doesn’t allow the player to make full use of the teleportation.

They say it provides another life in hardcore, but as that’s locked on hard, would it really be useful as you would need to kill the wither TWICE just to get and be able to use 1 copy of yourself. Great mod though. Really original. When I first used it I found it wouldn’t work. Then I found you needed a redstone signal – such a derp! Good luck in the future. 🙂

ichun, you should make it to where you dont HAVE to be shoved into a dam shell when you die, on the server i play on, keepinventory is ON so when you die and get transfered to the new shell, all the items on the shell you were playing as are DESTROYED D: please update so u dont HAVE to be transfered at death, and can just respawn yourself
yeah, keepInventory not properly working when using sync is a big downside. You don’t drop the items, but since your clone is destroyed all your items are gone,which is a bit of a pain. Maybe also have a device where your inventory slowly rebuilds?

Question… has anyone had an issue with dieing? I have a friend who /suicide while in a shell and now he is stuck in some sort of purgatory/limbo and cant get back to his original body. Anyone know if there is a fix to this?
First off, congrats on making it into the AOBT mod pack, great job. I play it, and recently found out that treadmills generate RF (and constructors accept it). Could you possibly post the generation values for the treadmills and draw values for the constructors? That would help a lot with power management. Thanks in advance.

I have 3 storages (A, B and C)I can sync from any one to any other one. However, If I have shells in A and C and get into B, I only see the closest shell, which is at A. The shell in C is in my base, which is chuckloaded (and the chunck loading in the config is turned on). I don’t know what’s going on.

That kind of reminds me of Ghost in the Shell series a bit. And when I say “kind of” and “a bit”, I mean that “GitS?!!!” was my first thought after seeing this mod in action. Now that mod definetely needs some augmented Shells, AI tanks and cyber-network. Also it would be great to have at least some properties transfer between bodies: Ars Magica 2 level, TC4 research and things like that. Further referencing best anime in the world, I’d say that things like that are part of your Ghost, not Shell, so why’d you lose them?
Please update this to 1.7.2 when you have the chance! This is one of the few mods holding me back from upgrading to 1.7.2.

You should make it so that you can bring shells with you instead of having to spawn in a constructor like in sync. and also you should automatically have a watch syncronizer <– heh. see what i did there? Sync? Eh? Eh? Ah, nevermind. so basically it's like a bed. once you die you respawn where you last had your bed. but like in the series charlie selected the shell as he died cause he had multiple shells online so it would sync him with a random shell. sorry. i know you didn't understand. here is the translation: You should be able to bring and select shells upon death so you don't have to worry about running back to that cave while it is night time. but you can only bring 2 shells at a time and it will give a slowness effect when bringing shells to make it fair. this also adds more realism as carrying real copies of yourself are very heavy. unless you can bench anything OVER 9000!!!! Ok, i hope you got the point, if not i will ask my sister to translate. btw i am only 10. so… yeah.

It’s because your inventories are saved per clone. It’s like starting a new world, except the clone you were using is still there 🙂
why not put your armour and stuff in a chest before you switch?
I use the ums Server pack and if i switch to a Clone and back my inventory is lost even the armor i wear..

Your inventory, armor, experience, and stuff like that is saved per clone.
Logan, He switched to 1 shell, then back to the one he was in before he switched, and his inventory was gone.

Its damn complicated, and whenever a new minecraft comes along forge takes a long time to update to it, and things always change meaning you have code you wrote maybe months ago that suddenly doesnt work, fixing it isnt easy so most times you re-write part of it. Thankfully my mod is not popular so i dont get these but if i did i think i would be tempted to add negative stuff if the user name was detected,

Love it, though “keepInventory true” causes items to disappear on death, as no items get dropped and you take over the shell’s inventory. Maybe have all shells share inventory when you use keepInventory?

I like that you added in the ability to remove pigs on treadmills, but sadly that also removes the rather awesome 3D printer construction animation, which I LOVE. Could there be a way to not need power but still slowly build a shell? That would be what I’d use for my server. (I’d probably make my build time even slower for balance)

can someone help me? so i have Galacticraft and this mod installed. i went to the moon and made a storage their and got in. i made one on overworld b4 i went to moon so now im at overworld and my real self on the moon doesnt show up on the shell wheel. please help.
I’m not sure if this is the place to make suggestions, but a horizontal version of the shell storage would be cool, kind of like a statis bed/pod/chamber from alien, serenity, or avatar (or tons of other scifi things). I’m not sure which is more common in science fiction, but options are always nice. It seems like it would get tiring for the original character to remain standing for so long, a bed might be more comfortable 😛
Also, perhaps possible tier systems in the mod, where low-tech versions of the Shell system creating simple shells or skeletons or basic, unskinned androids, and higher tech versions create a fully detailed clone shell that adopts the user’s skin. Maybe the low tech ones can be created faster (or maybe the shell creators have expansion slots for upgrades to production speed, etc)
Maybe even a system for upgrading the shells themselves, bionic enhancements or something, where advanced/evolved shells have durability and skills beyond that of the user. A sort of tier system that makes a shell more than just an “extra life” if you will. But, of course, the better the shell, the longer it would take to produce. I see it like Steve’s Carts, only for shells.
Of course, it’s really easy for me to just sit back and make suggestions, I don’t have to work on the thing 😛 I just love the idea of where something like this could go. It reminds me of the movie Surrogates.

is this mod compatible with hqm meaning if I die it will respwan using sync but it will drop a count of life in hqm so respwannig is easier and the mechanics can be used to make packs

i think it would be much better if you dont lose your “original body” when you create shells, like you will only switch to your original body if its on a default storage or if there are no other shells available and dying while using your original body while having other shells will lead to a normal death. i think that process is much more bug free and so not to lose your original body.

Great mod. I have however found an exploit in version 4.0.0. Red heart canisters are doubled when changing between shells.
Also, baubles are not kept on original shell, but rather stay with you, whichever shell you use.
Don’t forget to mention this, you can use other mods in conjunction with this to use wires instead of treadmills! Just plonk a wire at the base, and if you are using Mechanism, watch it instantly build!

Hey iChun, I got this idea for a mod you could do. It could be like the hologram mod. It would make a hologram of a person that your could sort of control. Like press a button and it sends a hologram from your position walking exactly as you were when you pressed it, in the direction you are looking. it could like also make zombies and skeletons think its you and go after it instead of you.

Enviromine has a Thirst, Heat, and Sanity meter, which add a new depth to survival.
I am making a modpack for a Let’s Play, however until my new laptop gets mailed, all I can do is test for crashes. 150+ mods really makes my current laptop want to kill itself. The question today lies between the mentioned mods: Sync, AG(Advanced Genetics), and Enviromine.
I want to know if you make a clone in Sync and change your DNA with AG, would switching to a new clone provide a different set of DNA?
Example: I take the gene for +5 Hearts from an Iron golem, and give it to myself. I switch over to a clone I make (Without dieing and losing the gene). Would this clone ALSO have the +5 hearts, have an entirely different set of Genes and its own abilities, or would it wipe the genes of the first one as I switch so neither would have modded genes?
If you make a new clone in Sync it has its own HP and Hunger recorded, but is thirst/heat/sanity also recorded?
So if I switch between clones from a thirsty one, will I remain thirsty, or will I have the new clones stats?
Im using sync 2.2.3 and having an issue with clones..
I can create a clone, and I can store a clone, but I cannot access the stored clone no matter what.

The storage needs a redstone current. You need to walk into another storage, then select the clone you want to sync into on the radial (I think that’s the name) menu. Once you have, click, enjoy the animation and BAM! You have synced into the shell, and the original body is another shell. Repeat (selecting the storage holding the original body) to sync back.

everybody i have solfed a problem!when you are going to your settings you see click o for more options and you did some numbers with sync.then you have a super speedy sync and that is not funny anymore.what you do is you go .minecraft then config and then delete IchunUtil.cfg and Sync.gfc then delet out mods folder and then download again…..solfed!

I love this mod. It’s a truly revolutionary idea. I would love it if it became comparable with other minecraft power sources such as EU, and whatever thermal expansion uses. I’d also love to see the treadmills be usable to charge up batteries and whatnot in mods like IC2 and TE or you could add some kind of config file that allowed US to change that. I don’t pretend to understand for a moment and part of mod creation or programing, so I don’t know if what I suggest would be difficult or not, sorry. I really liked this Mod, and it was working fine for a bit. At some point I went to change my skin, and then I did not have any access to any of my old Shells.
On top of that, I can created new Shells, I can change into any Shells that are In the Constructor, but I can’t swap back into any of my old shells.

having trouble with your mod in a big modpack. After I have built a clone in the constructor and I am switch to it, my client disconnects from the server with a java io DecoderException. (For details see your minecraft forum thread where I posted my screenshot)
Anyone who logs in near my Sync Storage and my Constructor keeps getting this disconnection error until the server is rebooted. After the server is rebooted, my newly constructed shell is gone.
I emptied both my normal and baubles inventory before I constructed and switched clones. The only thing I had on me were the 20 TiC Heart Cannisters in my TiC inventory.
I have Aether II and Tinker’s Construct installed, which buggy causes me to have over 2000 HP. Maybe this messes with the format in which you store the Sync clones in your mod? I can not think of anything else at the moment.

I have a great idea for the Sync mod, one which could be the next step after shells. a clone is just a clone, almost no difference from the original. but what if you couldn’t just create shells to sync into, what is you could biologically alter the shell before the creation process ( a inventory which you can select options to affect the shell, in exchange you use up rare resources like diamonds, nether stars and emeralds), making them stronger, faster, and give them abilities similar to potion effects. but why stop there? my main idea was a radical and if implemented extremely expensive option, what if you could sync your mind into a robot? it could have enhanced strength, protection, speed , and you could get an item when you go into the robot that allows you to use built in weapons (energy blades, guns, mining tools, etc., at the cost of more rare resources when you build the robot [the construction process would require a new shell constructor which requires a lot more power to run/ a lot of treadmills]) the robot wouldn’t have a hunger bar, but it would have a energy bar. the bar is depleted slowly through use of the body, and the use of built in equipment. if the robot runs out of power, your mind is switched back to the body you were previously in (the robot body would become a solid block which has a inventory to insert things that could power it [batteries?].you could install into the body things like solar batteries, kinetic, but you could create power sources like batteries (these could be refuelled in a device powered by the treadmill) manually, and you could have a device also is powered by the treadmill that doubles as a way to move your mind out of the robot and it also recharges it.

hey i can not log in to my brothers lan world, i get in 10 seconds later, i am kicked and it gives me a it was more than i was expecting packet kick screen.
Per my brothers stupid post, yes there was a problem, but we managed to resolve it. Now I request that you deal with that issues source, it would appear that when a player attempts to transfer between shells, they will be kicked due to a bad packeting issue if they have an baubles in their baubles slot. and would you mind fixing the issue of you crash when you break the shell storage units. and maybe setup a github for this mod.

Found a BUG. When changing the config option to “I:shellStoragePowerRequirement=1” or more (original is I:shellStoragePowerRequirement=0), the shells storage units do not pick up other shells, when I kill myself I go to spawn, when I jump into another storage unit the other shell doesn’t show up, I can jump to a constructed one, but not to a stored one.
Will there be a version 1.8 and if not how do I make this work?
Integrating Sync and IC would be more that great.

Hey iChun, found some bugs in interaction with TConstruct and Baubles. I guess since these do not store their custom player inventories somewhere that you touch, this happens:
– duplication of TC heart containers
– duplication of everything in TC knapsack
– still just the same 4 bauble slots for all clones
Would be glad if you could handle this.

One thing I’d really like though is for the ‘mental’ data transferring to be toggle-able in the config,
Example of what I mean:
*Creates new shell
*Researches Thaumcraft
*Transfers to new shell, new shell knows nothing of thaumcraft
I realize that at some point this was an added feature, and that people like it, but I’d enjoy the option to have the old way

It happens that if you have a shell stored or a shell being built and yhen you equip the myfit, or you have the myfit equipped and you start to build a shell, the game will instantly crash, what is something that brought me quite a lot of gameplay pain. I would be glad if you find out what makes the both mods conflict and fixed thus bug, because i would rather wish to play wiyh both mods working at the same time.

I have a bug that i lose all my stuff when i change bodies, even when i go back to the body that has the stuff. Minecraft version 1.6.4 Modpack: Attack Of The B-Team.
SO, I was playing as normal, and I thought it would be fun to have a massive “Cloning Factory” in my worl, so I started working on Sync… Then I get this crash any time I they to switch shells:

I downloaded the latest vertion of the mod but then when I starter to make the clone my machine didn’t made those particles then I got into the shell storage and saw that my clone was 0 persent!

So. I play blast off (or try to) and the sync mod is in it. Everytime i click on the shell constructor it shuts down my client and says a fatal error has occured. Ive looked around and found nothing. Any way someone can help

Hello, its me again. So devs, i have a problem also with this mod. Every time i give it my “DNA”, it instantly crashes my game like the Morph mod, exept my save file gets ruined in a way. It ruins it so that i can never join the game, just like the morph mod when i try to join a world. Please repair this problem. Thanks! (P.S: This is also one of my fave mods.)
